Happy JBS residents from JBS Park Homes

We have a lot of residents to say the least. However, that does not stop us from making sure we record their feedback.
We have recently taken it upon ourselves to interview a few of our residents. The feedback so far has been quite nice.

We recently interviewed Anne and Robin Olive.

JBS: How long have you lived in your park home?
Anne: around ten and a half years now
JBS: What site do you live at?
Anne: Beechdown park Paignton. Hold on, I will just get my husband for you...
JBS Park Homes, JBS residents, I live in a park home
JBS: ok that's fine.
Robin: Hello?
JBS: Hi there, who am I talking to you?
Robin: Hi, this is Robin - how can I help you?
JBS: I was just asking Olive some questions regarding your life in a park home, what it is like being a JBS resident, and then I was going to ask for some feedback regarding Gary Self...is that ok?
Robin: That is no problem. Fire away.
JBS: So I understand you have lived in your park home for ten and a half years. How long have JBS Park Homes looked after the site?
Robin: JBS took the site around six or seven years ago.
JBS: How was that for you?
Robin: It was fine, why do you ask that?
JBS: I just want your general feedback. So anything that you wish to share. Any problems?
Robin: No there are no problems. Well, I say no problems, there are some here and there, but you can't allocate blame for these problems.
JBS: So what is your opinion of the Smalls? And, while you are there, what is your opinion of Gary Self?
Robin: I have no problems with the Smalls or Gary! Some may talk about problems, but we can't see them. They perhaps do not visit the site as much as they used to, but we know of Jeff senior and his deteriorating health. Can I tell you a story?
JBS: Yes please do.
Robin: We were driving in Weymouth one time, and I broke down. I called Jeff to let him know. He straight away asked, 'do you have breakdown cover? Have you got enough cash to sort all of this? Would you like me to come down to help you?' - So, with this experience alone, you should see what kind of person he really is. He is quite a private person though.
JBS: Thanks for sharing that, I had no idea this happened. So, can I ask about your neighbours?
Robin: The neighbours are fine. I have no problems. I say 'Live and let live'. That is what you have to do.
JBS: So, finally what is your opinion of Gary Self?
Robin: Olive has always said that Gary is like a son to us...(the full interview on Gary will be released shortly).
JBS: Right, well that just about wraps up here. Anything else you want to say?
Robin: No, not really - you know why some say they have a problem with the Smalls don't you?
JBS: Go on....
Robin: It is because they started off a Gypsy's. People get jealous to see Gypsy's are doing well.
JBS: I see, I had no idea...anyway, I will have to thank you for your time today...
Robin: That is no problem. Enjoy the rest of your week.
JBS: You too, take care
Robin: Bye.

As you can see from our above interview, we have a couple on a site that has been looked after by the Small's for 6/7 years. They seem quite happy.

JBS Park Homes - JBS residents interviews

Happy JBS residents - JBS Park Homes Interview

Here at JBS Park Homes we have a wide variety of residents. They all come from different walks of life and all have different expectations of life in a park home.

JBS residents always give us different feedback when it comes to life in a JBS Park home.

We have decided to travel around and record these different interviews. Below is our first of many. We have interview Malcome & Mary from Beaufort, Taunton.

The following took place at the 'Pride of Devon' awards Friday 17/05/2013.

JBS Park Homes: Which park do you live at?
Malcome & Mary: Beaufort, Taunton
JBS: How long have you been there roughly?
Malcome & Mary: Ha! It has been quite a while - over 8 years!
JBS: What's your opinion of this site?
Malcome & Mary: Are you asking if we like it there? Yes we do. It is very much what you make it, like anywhere you live I guess.
JBS: So you're quite happy
Malcome & Mary: Yes, reasonably so.
JBS: Is this your only property?
Malcome & Mary: We have a holiday home that we let out - you interested?
JBS: I personally have a honeymoon coming up quite soon, and that is all booked, but thanks all the same.
Malcome & Mary: We enjoy where we are, we are quite happy with the luxury and benefits that come with the park home, and at the same time we always knew what was involved.
JBS: That's it
Malcome & Mary: That's it? That was quite quick, we boring you?
JBS: No not at all. I obviously want you to enjoy the evening and I thought I would take advantage of the time available. Anyway, many thanks, I will post this online soon.
Malcome & Mary: No problems there.
JBS: enjoy the evening
Malcome & Mary: You too.

Here at JBS Park Homes we take our reputation seriously and we pride ourselves on our happy JBS residents.

Pride of Devon

JBS Park Homes - Pride of Devon
Radio Exe

On the 17th of May 2013, we sponsored 'Neighbour of the Year' award. This award was to be presented by our very own Gary Self, to the nominated Pat and Tony Jones.

The event itself had various different awards being presented, and various businesses involved. We are always pleased to recognise those that go above and beyond what some might expect of them. Pat and Tony Jones did just that.

This category was hard to judge. One entry in particular was very, very short. It was what it didn't say that made it stand out.

Almost every Pride of Devon entry came through the Radio Exe website. But on for neighbour of the year was handwritten in a beautiful script, neatly done. The message simply read, "I've lived in my cottage for 35 years. Pat and Tony moved next door about five years ago. My late husband Richard was disabled and I'm getting old. They are truly neighbours from heaven."

This nomination letter came from Lynette Davey. The friendship that came about from these acts of kindness is still in place today.

Lynette, Tony and Pat, are just some examples of the very happy residents that we have with the JBS Park Homes.

Following this event we have decided that we would like to interview a few different residents. We will identify those who deserve recognition and we will be able to hear from the residents themselves, how they find life within a Park Home.
